Sometimes, when the broswer cannot find a page it is
looking for, I get the address of the page and the
following "?%20" before it (such as ?%20www.umn.edu) Why
is it doing that? Is it some adaware that does that? I
have antivirus and spybot installed and they did not
detect anything. THanks.

"%20" is computer-speak for a blank (" "). It's nothing to worry about.
