2 NICs do not work after reboot

Alfa

I have a W2K server with 2 NICs. I use each NIC for
connectivity to a seperate network outside my LAN.
When I reboot the server, the 1st NIC will stop connecting
out of my LAN (via router) but the 2nd one is ok (via
firewall). I can only get 1st NIC working by disabling
the 2nd NIC.
If I reboot the server with 2nd NIC disabled, it will come
back up, I enable the 2nd NIC again and then will both
NICs happily work together.
I got all servicepacks and patches for W2K server & IE 6.
I have tried to go back, ie. remove patches and
servicepacks but have the same problem.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,

This sounds like a NIC driver issue. Are both NICs the same make and model?
have you updated the driver lately?

Thanks,
