1st pc can access 2nd pc shared folder, but 2nd pc can't.

pc-a & pc-b connected with rj-45 vis a switch. Having same workgroup
"MSHOME". pc-a ping to pc-b "OK". pc-b ping to pc-a "OK". both pcs
TCP/IP is configured for file & printer sharing & client for ms
network. pc-a can access pc-b's shared folders . MY PROBLEM IS "WHY
PC-B CAN'T ACCESS PC-A's SHARED FOLDERS?". Any suggestion?

By the way, both pcs can browse ie from single gateway. Both OS is Xp
sp2. And they can access mutually in the past.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this

Check for a consistent NetBT setting.

Or look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net
config workstation", from each computer, and diagnose the problem. Read this

Like you said, overlooked personal firewall caused that problem.
(Because I notice when both can access well in disabled mode of personal
firewall, although my subnet pc are excluded from firewall.)
Thus, I unistalled & then reinstall antivirus program of same company.
But ended up with this problem. (disabling antivirus program (even in with
no windows firewall no more help.)
I've tried whole day. Once I got access from pc-B. Never got access again
after re-login.

May be I've to reinstall OS. In this case, please advice me which PC must I
reinstall OS?

Following is result of browstat from pc-a. (ASUSA8NSLI is pc-A, which had
nVidia nForce hardware, but I disabled it).

The 121 is "The semaphore timeout period has expired". That's an LSP / Winsock
corruption problem, most likely.

And don't depend upon simply disabling the nVidia firewall.

I skipped step-9 (reset TCP/IP) accidently. Noticed pc-a is found on pc-b's
browser.
But when I tried to access pc-A shared folders, I was asked username/pwd.
Then I rechecked the steps and found I missed to reset TCP/IP. Then I perform
that step.
pc-A ask me to restart. After restarting, pc-A's shared folder has been
appear on pc-b browser without asking usrname/pwd.

That was great!. I will printout and save the necessary softs for this
problem solving for future. Without your guideness, I have only way to
reinstall the OS.
