17.0 MB File

Hi,

I have an Excel file (Excel 2000) that is 17.0 MB. It
stopped opening when I made my last couple of revisions.
When I try to open it, the Excel just freezes. I have
deleted everything I could off my hard drive, run the disk
clean-up, and defragmented. If I could just get the file
open once, I could split it into three different files.
Can anybody tell me how to get it open?

Hi Carrie,

Two things which MIGHT work:
- switch to manual calculation before opening
- try opening with Excel 2002
