Hi,
I am using windows 2000 prof. Recently while I was browsing the internet, I
accidently clicked on YES to install some software. After this, to my
surprise, I am not able to run my Merriam Webster Dictionary and other
softwares. When double click on the said application, I am getting the error
window as follows:-

Error Window header : 16 bit Windows Subsystem
c:\winnt\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for runnign
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the
application.

Please help.
Thanking you in advance.

Any other alternative, pls.

The problem is solved. I could get a very simple solution for this problem
from one of the earlier post which had the same problem. It says copy the
autoexec.nt and config.nt files from c:\winnt\repair folder to
c:\winnt\system32 and reboot. That's it. To my surprise it worked. Thank u
very much.
