16 bit rogue

operating win 200xp w/sp2 applied. At startup I get a popup that a 16 bit
program can't run. I want to find and delete that program . All three of my
computers were loaded from the same win 98 cd and win2000xp upgrade . Only
the one has this popup. your help would appreciated.

This is running from one of several places:

1) Startup Folder
2) Registry RUN keys
3) WinLogon

If you download this free utility & look at the 'logon' tab you may spot it:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/autoruns.mspx

The chances are you will find it listed under:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Uncheck the item, reboot & see. If it stops the error you can then safely
delete the unchecked item using the 'AutoRuns' application
