16 bit; NTVDM file missing

For some reason I am no longer able to run a program; a
window opens '16 bit windows subsystem' that states "An
installation file required by NTVDM is missing.."

Any suggestions? THANK YOU

Try running the program in Compatibility Mode (goto the Program
Compatibility Wizard under Start, All Programs, Accessories).
