1394 host controller

Please can anyone help? I reinstalled Win XP after a virus probem, updated
gain to SP2 and have just reinstalled all my software again. However, when I
tried to connect my DV camcorder, no device was detected. in Device manager
1394 host controller isn't even listed anymore.

I have trawled Microsoft support pages, etc but I cannot seem to download a
driver.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this controller integrated with the motherboard?
If so you'll need to use the driver CD for your MB, or go to
their website for the latest drivers.

If the port is on your sound card, like mine is, then same thing...
go get latest driver
