1394-connection

Hello!

When I look at my 'Connections', there is a 1394-connection
(1394-networkcard) listed in the 'LAN- or High speed connections' category.
It is disabeld at the moment, but I wonder what it can be used for!

Hope this is not a stupid question!

It's not a stupid question but the first thing to do with questions like
that is a Google search. For example:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=what+is+1394+network+connection&btnG=Google+Search

This way not only do you find out that this is a firewire connection,
you find links that tell you how to use it.
