114500 files and increasing

T

Thur

I have WinXP Home Ed. and Norton Antivirus with Norton
Internet Security and have automatic updates for it all.

My files increase with every report from my weekly virus scan.

Although I have a number of packages installed, I do not
think that the increasing file numbers represent any activity
that I do except for surfing the web.

I have reduced the already small number of cookies with
a Cleanup Program. I have reduced the cache size of IE 6
to 1MB about 6 months ago.

Is there a freeware prog which will tell me where these files
are and how many, so I can monitor where they are increasing?

I have had no other peculiar symptoms to report.

Thanks, T.
