100% CPU usage

Hi all-

I'm having some trouble with my IBM R50p laptop running
WinXP Pro. I was playing Rise Of Nations when my laptop
unexpectedly shut off (I believe it was a thermal
issue). When I booted it back up, the task manager
reported that my system process was using 100% of my cpu
time. I shut it down properly and turned it back on but
the problem still remained. I booted it back into safe
mode, and the system process was normal (CPU usage was
around 2%), but when I rebooted back into normal mode,
the problem reappeared. Any help in resolving this
problem would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should update your virus definitions and run full anti-virus scan. If
you do not have anti-virus programme installed you can run a free scan from
the internet. Try this link:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Spyware causes many problems. If not installed download Adaware and update
Reference file from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
and use it to remove parasites.

If you are still encountering unexplained processes after trying these
measures then you might look at trying other more sophisticated spyware
tools.

Hope this helps.
