100% CPU Usage related to iexplore.exe

Jeff

At random times when I'm using IE, my browser
spontaneously starts to hang. When this happens I go
into task manager and see that my CPU usage is 100% and
the main culprit seems to be iexplore.exe. Does anyone
have any clue why this might be happening and what to do
to fix it?

99 times out of 100 Spyware causes this:

Go here and follow the instructions:
http://aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
Download all recommended programs in No.1,
Follow the instruction in No. 2 & 3 for using the programs. And there are
help & FAQ at the download sites of the programs.

It is a good idea to run these programs in safe mode. Instructions for Safe
Mode here:

Also turn OFF System Restore:
Right click My Computer > go to properties > on the System Restore Tab >
check Turn Off System Restore on all Drives, Reboot. You can enable System
Restore once you have clean up all the Sypware.

Here a links that provide great information about what programs & services
that should be running and which ones could be Spyware/Malware, etc.
