10 min. logon

takes min. 10 min. after i turn it on for me to get windows started
had sp2, uninstalled it and now have sp1 still the same
a small window opens after about 10 min. and says no password to logon{or
something like that} i click ok then the welcome screen comes on & in i go.
i know nothing but will try anything
