I have recently replaced my 30GB drive with a Maxtor
120GB drive on my XP Pro system. I used the included
MaxBlast3 program to copy all the data on the disk over.
Everything went OK, I swapped out the disks and the
machine booted fine.
I know have issues with Outlook and Office 2000 Premium.
Outlook will not send or download my email. Although it
connects to my POP mail server, tells me I have X number
of emails, appears to download them, and then shows an
error #0x8007007e stating "An unknown error has
occurred. Please save any existing work and restart the
program."
I also show errors when opening any program within MS
Office 2000 and my icons are missing from the Quick
launch bar. I have tried to repair Office but get an
error that the patch install program cannot be located
and I should make sure that it is in place and to try
again. Other program I have work fine, my internet
connection is up, I have no viruses or spyware issues and
everything I can find online regarding the 0x8007007e
error has to do with Windows Update and does not seem to
apply.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
