hola, i have a clean install of xp pro, and am getting the above stop error.
this only seems to occur whn my machine is idle. (or at least thts the only
time it has occured for me). i run utorrent at nite and as it is a vry low
overhead app tht has always been vry stable in the past, i dont really
suspect it. i do however have to run a usb cable modem (the ethernet port on
my sb4200 quit a few months back). as most of the articles dealing w/this
stop error usually point to bios/vid/sound as most likely hardware sources, i
wanted to know if anyone thinks the usb modem could be causing the stop ? i
know tht thier use is always recomended against if possible. i will try the
memory test apps tht are refered to in other posts. i have tested it before
but not w/hair dryer.
