Alright, last night I was on here and I was going through
a bunch of STOP messages on my pc running on Win XP, and
such message as BAD_POOL_CALLER, PAGE_FAULT, and a couple
of others were popping up. Finally my computer is
settled on this one error 0x000000C4 which I believe is
DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION. Well, I've already
consulted the STOP messages page on this matter. I've
run the driver verifier already, I tried a Repair
Installation using my windows disc, and still I'm not
getting anywhere. I've gone to the web page referred to
by the STOP message page, but I have no idea what I'm
looking at, or how to proceed from here. Ultimately, I'm
coming to the conclusion that it may be a hardware issue
instead of a software issue. I ran through my drivers
and noticed that 2 pairs of devices are sharing the same
IRQ. If I'm not mistaken, all IRQ's should be
individually assigned and not shared by another device
while another is already occupping it. So what can I do
from here?

These files are something to do with symantec/Norton,
possibly AV. I would contact them for instructions
on how to clear this up.
Obviously, something in your startup axis is trying to
reference these files, and they're no longer
there.

Via:

Those files are run on startup for Norton Anti Virus. I really don't
know what's wrong but I suspect either your Norton AV program is
broken, or as the error states, the file is missing.

If you have the original CD of Norton AV, try re-installing the
program as that may restore the missing or damaged file.

To verify if those files are missing, do this:

Click on search, enter the first file: ccregvfy.exe and have it look
for it in drive c. If it finds it, you should get a response with
the path to the file. Do the same thing for ccregmon.dll.

Both files should be located in:

c:\program files\common files\symantec shared

Good luck.

Run setup or fresh install or try linux....
