How do I pick up my yahoo mail, I have set up every thing that is required
put I can neither send nor recieve any mail.
The set up is :-
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com.au
Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
(e-mail address removed)
Error message is :-
Pop3, Server Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command'
Prt 995, Secure (SSL): Yes Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18
ail.
please help other wise this system of yours is useless.

The yahoo.com server, which you aren't using, requires you to
either pay extra or install YPOPs to connect using Windows
Mail.

You may have to ask Yahoo if you need more information, but make
sure you mention that you want to use the yahoo.com.au server:

Your settings look fine to me, assuming the Australian version of Yahoo
has free POP access. Is there a setting in your Yahoo web account that
needs to be set for POP access?

You only included a receive error message, so I'll limit my suggestions
to the receive mode. Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication" is not checked.
