XP Wizard not opening to Trf Photos w/Sony DSC-F707

I just upgraded from windows 98 to windows XP home
version. Instruction that came with the camara say to
plug in the usb connection, turn the camara on and XP
will automatically launch the wizard. The only reaction
I get is the hour glass comes on every few seconds like
it's trying to start a program but nothing ever happens.
I can see the "removable drive" on the windows explorer
so I know it as least recognized the connection. If I
click on the drive it wants for "format the drive". Any
suggestions?

You most likely have the USB connect mode set incorrectly on that camera. It
has to be set to PTP in order to work with XP.
