XP Pro wants to reactivate after crashes

Granted, I should probably be figuring out why my system is crashing, but in
the meantime...

XP wants to reactivate. It's been reactivated so many times that I now get
a screen saying that I've reactivated too many times and I have to call MS
(it won't let me do it over the Internet anymore). Even the automated phone
system isn't good enough - it then transfers me to a person at MS who gives
me a new code to activate me. That person asks me if this is the first time
or not (duh- no!), then if this copy of XP is on any other machine (no), and
if it was installed by the manufacturer (yes). Then they give me a new
number and off I go. One guy told me to call Tech Support next time it
happens... which I did... but he just patched me back through to the
activation center.

While, calling them works, it does take time and I would rather have this
fixed.

BTW, I think the reason my computer crashes is that it's getting too hot.
I've recently replaced the power supply and I now leave the door to my desk
where the PC is open, but it's still crashed a couple of times. I'm running
anti-spyware and AV programs and they all come up clean. So, I'm not sure
why I'm crashing, and more importantly, why it wants to reactivate when it
does. HELP!

Thanks in advance,

Get a utility to monitor temperatures for your motherboard and cpu from
the motherborad manufacturer's web site.

Test the memory using these two programs. Let them run for a few hours
each:

Memtest86+
http://www.memtest.org/

Windows Memory Diagnostic
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
