XP Home Edition

I've recently reinstalled XP Home Edition (upgrade) on my new hard drive.
Everything seem to work ok except when I attempt to shut down the computer it
goes through it's normal gyrations as if it's shutting down.......then it
booths up again! I'm also getting an "end program" message with for a
"ccApp.exe" with each attempt to shut down.
To shut down the computer I have to press the CPU button repeatedly.
Anyone have a solution for this problem.

ccApp.exe belongs to Norton Antivirus. Here is an excellent shutdown
troubleshooter:

both problems are likely related to Norton, but may also be Easy Cd Creator.
You can try to run the Live Update on Norton a couple of times..or ditch it
and go for a free AV, like Avast, or AVG.
And if you have the Roxio Easy CD Creator, update the drivers from their web
site.
