Wtd: Something to open MS Publisher document

I have been sent a document in MS Publisher format; and that's a utility
I don't have, Is there some freeware which will open or convert it?

Do MS do a free reader for it?

No and No. MS have even changed the format leaving early PUB owners
unable to open late PUB docs. Go back to originator and remind them that
format isn't portable.

No. The only way to open/view MS Pub documents is with MS Pub.

Ask the sender to save it as a PDF (I believe most of the current
versions do that) and resend. If they have an older version that
DOESN'T do PDF, then suggest they try one of the free PDF creators
from pricelessware.

I have a VERY old version (2.0a from 1993) and use FreePDF XP from
http://www.shbox.de/

I don't think Bill does PDF on principle.

Publisher does not have an .pdf output features-you need to use something
like FreePDF XP .

That doesn't really matter to CutePDF:

http://www.cutepdf.com./products/CutePDF/writer.asp

It installs itself as a printer driver, so almost any program can use
it. To convert a document to a .pdf file, you "print" the document ot
a .pdf format by simply selecting the "CutePDF Printer" driver. A
window will open which asks you which filename to save the converted
document to.
