Why do you need to reformat? If you post your problems here, someone may be
able to help you before a reformat. A 'Repair' install may help or if not a
'Clean' install. The two following articles by MVP Michael Stevens will

If you haven't 'substantially' changed the hardware on your system, then you
should be able to activate without any problems. Have a look the following
