Windows XP user desktops

Wanted to know how I can add a icon from one user desktop to another, also
whenever I delete a icon from my desktop it also deletes the icon from all
the other user desktops, how do I stop this?

If your shortcut exists on c:\documents and settings\all users\Desktop the
shortcut will appear on desktop for all users. If you remove it, it would be
removed for all users. So to ensure an important shortcut is not deleted,
make sure you copy or cut it from this location and then move it to profile
path for desktop of other users.

if you have user1, user2, user3 on your system there profile path for
desktop would be something like c:\documents and settings\user1\desktop and
so on
