Desktop Icons

I'm trying to find out how to delete desktop icons from my kids desktops
without deleting the icons on my desktop. Every time I delete a icon from my
kids desktop it also deletes that same icon from my desktop.
Is there a way to delete them from my kids desktop without them deleting
from my desktop?

That means that the icons are in the All Users Desktop profile. Open
Explorer and open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop (if
Windows is on C. You can select the icons you want to remove from
your kids Desktop by pressing Ctrl and left clicking the icons. When you
have them selected, press Ctrl-X to cut them. Navigate to your profile
Desktop folder and press Ctrl-V to paste them. Now they'll only appear
in your profile.
