Every time I have had to reboot for the last couple of
months I have noticed that it takes aboaut 3 to 4 minutes
to get the job done. I recently decided to review the
System Event Log and was able to find a recurring
problem. Product: Windows Operating System (XP Home)
ID: 7026 ; Source: Service Control Manager ; Version
5.0 ; Component: System Event Log ; Symbolic Name:
EVENT_BOOT_SYSTEM_DRIVERS_FAILED ; Message: The
following boot-start or system-start Driver(s) failed to
load: %1
Suggested user action:
1. Verify that the drivers are configured correctly.
2. Verify that the computer is running the most current
version of the drives.
I am not sure how to do this. My first thought was to
try to reinstall Windows XP from disk but I am not sure
about this. I have checked for and installed all updates
from the Microsoft Update center, including all drivers
recomended.
Any Suggestions please.
