Error

I am receiving the following and don't know what to do
about it. My computer has been powering off with no
warning for about a month, now. When I turn the power
back on and get to the XP sign in screen, the computer
locks up as soon as I type the first letter of my
password.

PRODUCT: WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM
ID: 7026
SOURCE: SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER
VERSION: 5.0
COMPONENT: SYSTEM EVENT LOG
SYMBOLIC NAME: EVENT_BOOT_SYSTEM_DRIVERS_FAILED
MESSAGE: THE FOLLOWING BOOT-START OR SYSTEM START
DRIVERS FAILED TO LOAN %1

I would appreciate any good advice.

The driver or drivers shown in the error message are either corrupted or not
compatible with Windows XP. You should install the most recent XP-compatible
drivers, which you can obtain from the web site of the hardware
manufacturer.

Try also to start in safe mode & select previous good configuration or start
in safe & then shut down & restart.
