Windows XP Professional Upgrade

I have recently upgraded my notebook from XP Home to XP
Professional edition. After the upgrade my system has
started giving problems.
Whenever I turn on the m/c, it hangs me up with no
response. However, when I restart the m/c (holding up the
power button for some time), then the m/c appears to work
fine for the session. If I turn off the m/c and try to get
on it later (after 30 min or so) then it hangs up again.

I purchased original m/c a couple of months back only.

I have tried rebuilding the m/c and the same problem
persist. Can anybody help how should i proceed
..

Anil --

After upgrading to XP Pro, did you visit the support web site of
the manufacturer of your notebook and install all the specialized
XP compatible drivers?
