Just recently installed windows xp, yeah its late. But i had reinstall install it because it had a nasty malware problem. Anyways, I'm using service pack 2, also I'm connecting through Pluglink (by Asoka), and i installed the driver for it. And when I use the Pluglink Admin Utility, it says some packets were recieved. BUT I still cannot connect to internet
If I state which IP the computer need to connect to, it says connected, but does not receive packets.

I am unable to connect without pluglink because the modem is in another room, but pluglink works with other devices such as xbox 360 and blue-ray player.

As a precaution, move PC to room where the router/modem is and connect directly with pluglink and update PC to latest Service Pack and updates to rule out the PC
