windows messenger in lan

hi
i want to chat with my colleagues through our company lan.
how can i use windows mwssenger through a lan without connecting to internet?
please help me?

You can, but only if you have a local Exchange 2000 IM Server or Live Communications Server
setup in the LAN (both of which require a dedicated server, purchased software and CALs).

I think you can find an easy solution without any hard installations.

There are lot of LAN messengers available today.

If you want freeware, try to visit this page

otherwise just ask google for "lan messenger"

'softros lan messenger' (http://messenger.softros.com) for example

Most of these tools are easy to use, they look like MSN or ICQ style,
working in LAN without any Internet connections.
