Windows Mail and WiFi

I use Windows Mail for for my normal eMail address which is a Yahoo one. It
works perfectly at home here in the UK with a router.
Some months ago I spent time in Spain and used WiFi in various places and
each time found that I could receive but not send messages.
Shortly I will be going abroad again and want to try to avoid the problem
repeating itself. What should I do to make the emailing 2way?

Thank you.

Many locations will not let you relay outgoing messages through them. You
need to check with your ISP and verify this, but if you go to Tools |
Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and check the "requires
authentication" button then that might enable sending. You may also need to
change your SMTP port, so check with your ISP (the settings are the same as
for OE) and go to some local pub with your computer and test then prior to
going to Spain.

If you are currently using port 25 SMTP with yahoo.uk, try port 587 instead.
Port 25 will be blocked by most Internet service providers.

Thanks both of you. I'll try out the suggestions as soon as I can and will
post back with the results.

Cheers for now.
