Windows logo during boot up

I have a new Gateway desktop. When I reboot, the monitor
screen stays blank until the "welcome screen" appears.
I'm used to my old Dell where the Windows self loading
logo screen showed during the boot sequence. How can I
get that screen to show on the new desktop?

Click Start, Run and enter MSCONFIG Go to the BOOT.INI tab. Make sure that the /NOGUIBOOT option is unselected.
