Windows Defender window pops up every time I start windows

On my old setup, Windows Defender just ran silently in the background.

with this installation, windows defender pops up its window on every
freaking time I start windows.

couldn't find any options to make it run invisible..

I REALLY don't want to see it unless it found a problem.


Does anybody know, how I can kill that window from coming up unasked??

I wonder what is different? On this install, did you choose to join Spynet
at an advanced level?

If so, please go to Tools, Options, scroll down, to the area labeled
"Real-time protection options", then "Choose if this program should notify
you about"

And ensure that both the two boxes immediately below that title line are
unchecked.

See if this takes care of it.
