Windows 2000 SP4

I have tried several time to install Windows 2000 Pro SP4
on my computer and each time, I get the same error message:

wzcsetup.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows. You will need to restart the program.

The above message is always followed by this one:

Service Pack 4 Setup error:

An error in updating your system has occurred. Select "OK"
to undo the changes that have been made or select "Cancel"
to quit. If you select cancel, your system will be left in
a partially updated state and may not work properly.I
have clicked OK each time.

So far, I have updated Windows 2000 Pro to service pack 4
on two other networked computers, one a laptop and the
other a desktop. Has anyone else out there experienced
this problem with Windows 2000 Pro SP4 and what was your
solution to get around this?

Thanks

I installed SP4 and it was installed perfectly, but after the
installation and re-boot many programs stopped working due to "Memory
could not be read".

This occurred with Word, Excel, Notepad, Wordpad and others.

I also could not connect to the Properties on one of our
Network-printers.

After un-installing the SP4 it all worked perfectly again.

Has anyone met this problem ???
