I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues re: WM. I have not gotten as far
as error coding. Everytime I open WM the setup wizard starts, I enter the
username and password, from a valid msn account and that's as far as it goes.
When I attempt to close the setup I am asked if I am sure because an accout
has not been setup yet. What the hell is the Update Account button for if it
doesn't update your account?

No, it is not a Hotmail account. It is pop3.email.msn.com. I converted to
pop3.live.com and smtp.live.com several months ago after receiving update
information. That still doesn't explain why the setup wizard goes no farther
than explaining to me why I can no longer use web based mail (which I already
knew).

I assume by MSN you mean a webmail account like Hotmail.
Windows Mail does not handle any webmail accounts.
You will need to upgrade to Windows Live Mail. It supports
Hotmail/MSN accounts as well as regular POP email.

OK, I understand now what type of account you have.
You will have to fool the setup wizard by initially specifying
a non-MSN email address, say (e-mail address removed).
Once that is set up, you can go back into the account's
properties and make the necessary corrections.

I have attmpted to once again setup WM... waiting for results. At the
suggestion of another community member I have initiated LiveMail beta.
Results thus far are satisfactory.

Good to hear. I frequently recommend Windows Live Mail when
Windows Mail won't do what you want.
