I have recently begun getting the following error when loading various
applications:
Application Popup: Winamp.exe - Entry Point Not Found:
The procedure entry point SetHandleContext could not be located in the
dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
In this case I was attempting to run Winamp. In the case that I am
trying to run Quicktime it might say "Quicktime.exe - Entry Point Not
found ..."
The point here is that I am running Win2K Professional, the software
that is pitching errors was written for Win2K and has been running
fine for months / years. Something has happened to suddenly cause
these errors. It is difficult to pin down what might have caused
this, since I recently installed a patch from Microsoft, an upgrade to
ICQ, plus various other software programs. Lots of people have posted
about this issue, has anyone found a solution or a common culprit to
blame?
