Why is a Vista printer sub routine being loaded in XP>

I noticed today that a program needed access to the internet.

The program is called PrintFilterPipelineSVC.exe.

I guess that I have 2 questions.

1. Why is it trying to access the internet?

2. Why was this Vista XPS driver installed on Windows XP?

That I don't know.
2. Why was this Vista XPS driver installed on Windows XP?

The technology has been backported from Vista to Server 2003 and XP. I
believe it gets installed with the .NET 3.0 framework and possibly some
other update as well.
