Why cant I see my menu bar.

When I opened up my word documents this morning the program is not allowing
me to see menu bar or tool bars. I have even tried restarting my puter but
nothing.

I tried everything as instructed and renamed the toolbar regist. file but
when I opened word back up still no menu bar. Should I reboot or do I simply
need to try to reinstall the Office 2000 disk?

Reinstalling will not help. Are you sure you followed the instructions
exactly? Have you restarted Word? Windows?

Are you saying that toolbars now display, but not the menu bar? Then
you could try the following: On the Tools menu, click Macro, and then
click Visual Basic Editor. On the View menu, click Immediate Window.
In the Immediate Window, type the following:

Commandbars("Menu Bar").Enabled = True

and press ENTER. Does this make a difference?

Yes, I am positive I did everything step by step. I even ran an ad virus scan
to make sure there wasnt anything else keeping it from working.
Still nothing.
