when is a jpeg not a jpeg???

recently i have signed up to Bebo to keep in touch with my daughter in OZ.
while i was away i had no problem uploading photos to my Bebo page for her to
view but when i returned home and used my own pc in exactly the same way it
tells me my photos are not jpeg files yet i know they are. Contacted Bebo who
told me the fault was my pc. Does anyone know what's going on and how can i
fix the problem. thanks.

There is more than one flavor of jpeg or .jpg files. It would seem that your
system cannot handle them all.
You did not identify the application program that you are using to view/edit
the files.
I'd suggest that you obtain a copy of IrfanView (Free) via the Web.
