Websites rendered in Asian Characters using Win98-IE6

Any idea why some English websites have their character sets rendered in
Asian characters?
I need the character sets for the Asian sites I visit, but not for obviously
English ones that are being rendered as Japanese and Chinese.

Thanks

Thanks! Got it worked around with this info.

(English was at the top but the specific site I was testing still rendered
in the second listed (Asian) language. I changed the second listed language
to another Asian language and that one was used to render the page (again,
instead of the top-listed English). So I removed the Asian languages and it
(of course) rendered in English. I don't use the Asian sites that often, so
I guess I'll just Add one as needed. It does make me wonder if there is some
HTML page code that IE6 is encountering causing it not to render in the
top-listed - English - language. But since there's no further development of
IE6, guess I'll have to live with this.)
