scam in scripts which look like East Asian

I am getting a lot of junk mail which has very few words in the English
script; most of the message appears in some East Asian script, I cannot make
out if it is Chinese, Korean or Japanese. Some of the English words in some
of the messages make them appear to be promotional or advertisement stuff of
computer software or hardware manufacturers. Since manufacturers are
unlikely to mail such hybrid advertisements, I am wondering if my O E is
having any East Asian script reading capability or option.

Could anyone throw light on how these hybrid messages get generated and read
by the O E on my computer?

Would appreciate any technical solutions any knowledgeable sorrespondent can
suggest.

Windows installed languages are global (affect the entire operating system) for all
MS programs and most 3rd-party programs.

Check out what language support you have in the 'Regional and Language Options'
control panel for the main installed languages and under the 'Advanced' tab for
further languages supported.

However, you should really post your question to :

microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

....or :

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

Make the problem go away:
In Outlook: Actions/Junk E-mail/Add sender to blocked sender's list
