Volume Control

Asking for my brother. XP/SP2 all critical updates.

When he double clicks on the volume control to get the
Playback Control panel, the volume control slider for WAVE is
at the bottom. If he moves it up, the audio is OK playing a
video, but when he reboots, the slider is back at the bottom.
It won't stay put.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Kelly,

I'm 3000 miles away from the problem computer which is an
added burden, but he says that he wasn't able to find
anything in the Google link that worked. Any other thoughts
aside of a reinstall?
