Visioneer XP 200

I am having the following issues with the Visioneer XP
200:

1. The scanner will scan black lines if not calibrated
more than once a day
2. If the newest driver is installed, then I rid myself
of the line issue to aquire an issue with old images
appearing (something scanned from a month back will
appear)

Using Windows XP and 2000 pro
Using PaperPort 8.0
Cannot upgrade to PaperPort 9.0 (using software that
requires PP 8.0)
This issue can be replicate across multiple machines
This issuse occurs from Clean installs to upgrades

Mulitiple times, they sey update to the latest driver.
Then they say upgrade to 9.0. The Software I use is not
compatible with 9.0

If the software you use is not compatible, there is not much else you
can do until it is updated.

really, so there is no know way to correct the old images
issue that arise with the updated drivers? I would assume
that this could be corrected if it was know how they were
created.

The incompatible software will have to be rewritten to be compatible with
the newer drivers. This is an issue for many people who use the newer
operating systems by either replacing old computers or simply upgrading the
OS. The only other thing you may try is to use a compatible mode for XP and
let the program think it is being operated on 98 or whatever OS the original
software was written for.

Ok makes sense, second issue then, I upgrade to the
newest driver for 8.0 and start the old images issue. I
then replicate the issue in Paint,MS Word, etc. with the
old images issue. While I am willing to blame the
programers of the Old program, I would think Microsoft
has something up to date?

You haven't explained the "old images" issue. Where do
they appear? What software are you using that isn't
compatible with Paperport 8.0? You replicate *what*
issue in those other programs? Explain *clearly* what it
is you're trying to do, how you're doing it, and what's
happening that you don't like.
