I am trying to add a 30 sec MPEG video clip to my website. I have followed
all the directions but it still does not work. I have tried changing the
extensions to MPEG and MPG but it does nothing. My goal is to put some clips
of family and friends on my website and then a visitor can click on them and
have them open in windows media player (unless there is something better to
use).

Are you importing your video and linking to it or trying to embed the file?

Try this,

1- Open your FrontPage web and go to File > Import
2- Add File > Locate the mpeg file > OK
3- Create a link to the file, i.e "Click here to see vide"
4- Save

Now go to File > Preview in Browser > Click the Video Link

Does the video file play? If it does not play, chances are the file may be
corrupt.

When using mpeg as a video format the end user will see the movie in the
player they have associated that format with. If you want Windows Media
Player to open the video file, you'll need to rip it in .wmv.

Thanks for your help JD. That is exactly what I did just before reading your
post. For some reason I didn't think it was as easy as creating a hyperlink
to the video. I got it working now other than something called a "codec
error" on media player. I think I've figured out how to work around that.

Thanks again.
