It takes 30minutes to see my video.

Can anybody help me please?
I insert my 5 minutes video mpeg file into my web page but it takes about 30
minutes to be able to see the video on line. My computer is broad band
connection.
I saw somebody else's web page which looks exactly the same as mine and the
video length is longer than mine. But their video takes only few minutes to
be able to see it. Why is that? What I am doing wrong please?
I added the Windows media player into the web component in my Front Page.
I clicked insert,web component, additional component, Window media player
add-in and then cliked all the nessecity.

Hello,

Possible causes
1) Video disk size too big
2) Video requires too much bandwidth (bitrate too high)
3) Host too slow (unlikely)

For 1 & 2, try to put the video online as low bitrate (150-300kbps) WMV or
FLV (flash format, requires flash knowledge).

Please excuse my ignorance. I am still a learner. May I ask you that if I
can just rename my video file from .mpeg to .wmv inorder to put my video
online WMV?
Or I have to do something more complex?
