Video in Media Player Classic too big for screen

I recently installed a new monitor and now when I open a video in Media Player
Classic by right clicking on a video file and choose "open with" and select MPC, the
video will not size properly in the MPC screen. Even if I set MPC to full screen,
the video will spill out beyond the borders of the screen and I can only see a
section in the middle.

However, if MPC is already open and I right click on a video file and choose "open
with" and select MPC, *or* if I select the video *from within* MPC, it plays
normally. It seems that, if MPC is already open, it does not matter how the file is
selected to play in MPC, it will play normally.

Different types of video files exhibit this behavior.

Videos open correctly when right clicking on a video file and choosing "open with"
and selecting any other media player, including Winamp and WMP9, whether they are
open already or not.

I checked the options in WPC for some tweak that would deal with this but was not
able to find anything to correct this behavior, including checking or unchecking
"Free window resizing".

Any ideas?

Thanks for the info Leonard.

FWIW, the problem turned out to be in the MPC .ini file
