Question about K-Lite Mega Codec pack 1.51 & Quicktime

I installed K-Lite Mega Codec Pack version 1.51, and I set Media Player
Classic to play all filetypes. I use Firefox as my browser.

In the past when I clicked on an MP3 file's link on a website, the
dialog box popped up asking me if I wanted to save the file somewhere
or just play it with MPC.

Now the files just play in Quicktime with no chance to download them
anywhere. I want that dialog box back, and I want those files to play
in MPC.

Any ideas what I did wrong?

Go through the file types tab in QTs control panel.

Go through the file types tab in QTs control panel.

They are all blank and unchecked.

Is it possible for someone to have clicked an OK button in response to
a question from firefox about content on the web? Would firefox ask if
a user wanted to play ALL incoming media in a particular player rather
than download it or play it in the preferred player?

The low-grade untechnical way I'd do it is to go in Firefox -> Tools ->
Options -> Downloads -> (Download Actions) View and Edit Actions -> and then
change the action there.

That, or delete the filetype. Firefox won't know what to do with it, and
you'll get your old selection back again (Download or Play with MPC)

Anthony,
Thank you for showing me the way to the View and Edit Actions control
box. I never had to use that box before because nothing like this ever
went wrong in the past. That box also allowed me to figure out what
happened to change all of the previous settings---> I need to supervise
my kid more closely when he's on the computer.

Thanks for your help!
