username en password

Yes I have noticed that this topic has been posted more than once and I have
read some of them.

I have removed Norton Internet Security 2009. I have removed my
e-mailaccounts and reset them. I have reinstalled Norton and nothing works.
Everytime I want receive and/or send mail, Windows Mail asks for my username
and password.

Even when Norton wasn't installed Windows Mail didn't remember, so I don't
think Norton is causing this problem.

Any other solution?

Have the username and password ever worked? It helps to know that.

Also, if you could specify who the provider is of the server you are using
then that might help. Don't post complete email addresses of course. There
is a provider that recently made a change without telling their customers. I
don't know if that is still a problem but if it is then if you were to
specify who the provider is of the server you are using then someone might
be able to help quickly and accurately.

Right now everything seems to be working as it should. I have just started up
the PC and openend Windows Mail. When I clicked the receive and send button,
I was connected with my provider without WMail asking for a username and
password. My internet and mailprovider is HetNet.nl Are there any problems
known with this provider?

I removed Norton in the Windows screen to remove programs (don't know what
it's called in English, you acces it trough the configurationscreen). But I
understand that's not enough.

If the problem returns I'll try using the Symantec removing tool.

We are not aware of any issues with your mail provider.

Symantec Norton leaves a lot of debris behind when its programs are
uninstalled. This may or may not cause continued (or subsequent) problems.
Before you install any new antivirus program, be sure to use the Symantec
removal tool first.
