Usbscan.sys ???

[ AL ]

cannot for the life of me get my HP psc 1200
series All-In-One printer to scan. It will print,
and copy etc, but I keep getting communication
error messages. The HP service site suggest
that the problem is with the usbscan.sys file
and that MS has a hotfix for this particular
problem. Where do I find this?

Thanks,

Al

Al,

Give up. It isn't going to happen. I have an HP 3330
all-in-one and cannot scan using the software. My
printer is connected via LAN and I can only scan by using
the embedded web server in the print server.

It is an HP problem. As much as I like the printers,
HP's software controlling the scan function leaves alot
to be desired.

If you peruse the HP forums, you will find a myriad (and
then some) of people with the same problem. Even all the
bitching and moaning doesn't light a fire under HP to
improve the software.

P.S: It is not a driver problem. It is a software
problem. Try all you like, there is no fix.

Sorry! Hey, I wish there was too.

Just being,

Mr. Reality
