USB problem

my laptop is fitted with all USB2 ports it has no USB1 ports. I keep getting
the message " this device would perform better on a USB2 port
if it happens when im in the middle of a print I loose the print and have to
start again.
how can I stop this message appearing on screen.

Interesting - I have never known that to happen and actually "hurt"
anything.

I would, in your shoes, first update my chipset drivers from the laptop
manufacturer.
Undoubtedly - that is what would be used to update your USB drivers.
