USB Mass Storage Driver

My USB2.0 external IDE mass storage hard drive stopped working..

I notice the driver is now missing from the device driver USB listing..
The device was installed using the Microsoft Windows2000pro driver..

The plug and play does not pick up the USB HDD..

How can I re-install the MS-USB2.0 driver???
I tried a download from Microsoft but there is no update, so no luck..
